Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, coordinator of the Nepal Communist Party, has claimed that his party will win the highest number of seats in the House of Representatives election on Falgun 21 (Feb 21) and emerge as the largest party.

Addressing a Zoom meeting of the party’s Central Election Mobilization Committee on Thursday morning, Prachanda stated that the party will contest the election independently, without forming any alliances or electoral adjustments with other parties.

A central committee member who attended the meeting told Onlinekhabar that Prachanda clearly said the party would not ally with those “rejected and criticized by the public,” and would instead fight the election alone and secure first place.

He also claimed that the party is receiving positive responses from leaders and supporters of other parties and expressed confidence that they would win more direct seats than the CPN-UML.

Prachanda instructed party members to prepare enthusiastically for the election and ensure victory for the party’s official candidates.

Co-coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal also addressed the meeting, saying that although discussions with various parties and leaders have taken place, the party will contest the election independently.

The Zoom meeting lasted for about an hour, starting at 8 AM, and was attended by all central committee members.
