HPV Vaccination Campaign Launched in Rautahat to Protect Adolescent Girls

An HPV (Human Papillomavirus) vaccination campaign has started today in Rautahat to protect adolescent girls from cervical cancer.

According to the District Health Office, the campaign will be conducted in two phases, targeting 17,319 girls across the district with free vaccinations.

In the first phase, which will run until Magh 29, the vaccination program is being carried out in Fatuwa Bijayapur, Baudhimai, Maulapur, Gadhimai, Ishnath, Paroha, Dewahi Gonahi, and Rajpur municipalities.

The second phase will be conducted from Falgun 1 to Falgun 6 in Chandrapur, Gujara, Brindaban, Garuda, Madhav Narayan, Gaur, Katahariya, Rajdevi municipalities, as well as Yamunamai and Durga Bhagwati rural municipalities.

The campaign targets school-going girls from grades 6 to 10, as well as out-of-school girls aged 10 to 14.
